HEC has released a new version of HEC-RAS called version
5.0.5 today. This version is a bug fix
only version (i.e. No new features).
Unfortunately in version 5.0.4 there was a bug in which User defined
Manning's n value override regions for 2D Flow Areas (called "2D Area
Manning's n Regions"), define in the Geometry editor, were not being
applied to the 2D Faces. So user's would
be unaware that they were not getting modified Manning's n values for these
override regions. As this is a bad computational
error, anyone that was using Manning's n override regions defined in the
Geometry editor, should rerun their models with this new release of HEC-RAS
5.0.5.
In addition to that bug, several
other minor bugs were also fixed. Please
review the Version 5.0.5 Release Notes to see all of the bugs that
were fixed for this release.
